Head, HR & Admin | Fidson Healthcare Plc

Adejoke Alli is currently the Head of Human Resources and Admin at Fidson Healthcare Plc. She assumed the position of Head HR inNovember 2013. In her current role, she has the overall responsibility for defining, creating, and delivering Fidson’s Human Resources and People strategy. This includes driving employee engagement and retention, shaping and enhancing the company’s leadership and development practices, ensuring succession planning for sustainability as well as steering learning and organizational development. She also serves as an advocate for positive change particularly on issues that affect the workforce.

Adejoke started her career as a Pharmacist about 15 years ago after obtaining a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Lagos. At Fidson Healthcare Plc, she started her journey as a Medical Representative in charge of marketing the company’s pharmaceutical products and delivering product volume targets. Over the years she’s held notable positions, many firsts, including being the first female Regional Sales Coordinator and eventually Regional Sales Manager at Fidson Healthcare Limited where she was responsible for regional planning and management of the sales team to achieve set sales and marketing targets for the Lagos Region. This was before she became the first Training Manager in charge of developing and implementing learning and development strategies for the sales and marketing team. Shortly after, her portfolio enlarged when she assumed the role of Chief Learning Officer, in charge of Learning and Development for the whole organization. Thereafter, Adejoke grew to become the Head of Human Resources at Fidson, a position she currently occupies. This was once again expanded recently to include the Admin function.

Over the past few years Adejoke through her passion for creating an enabling work and learning environment, was awarded the ACE (Acknowledging and Celebrating Excellence Award) for Corporate Impact (2012) by Fidson Healthcare Plc. Adejoke Alli also led the HR team and her organization to win two prestigious awards from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management. In the first year of participating in the CIPM HR audit, Fidson Healthcare Plc won the 2nd Best in the Others category, for the HR Best Practice Awards. In 2015, the company also won the CIPM HR Optimization Award for the Best Learning and Development Initiative. This was followed in 2018, by the award of Best Employee Engagement Programme by Future Workplace Awards organized by Informa Africa, a global HR consultancy firm.

Adejoke, today, at Fidson Healthcare Plc, continues to conceptualize and implement innovative and value adding HR strategies in conjunction with her team, to meet the requirements of the business. She has implemented various leadership and talent development initiatives which positioned several employees including young female managers in various male dominated fields such as Supply Chain and IT audit. Her ability to positively influence people earned her a Women Leaders Award from Great Place To Work Nigeria in 2019.

Adejoke Alli holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration with a specialization track in Marketing from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, and a member of Nigeria Employers Consultative Association under the Corporate membership platform.

Adejoke loves to read and write when she has the time to. She considers herself a creative person and in her spare time loves to explore interior design and aesthetics. Given the opportunity, she would love to travel more. She is happily married.
