Marilyn is a Human Resources (HR) professional with over 15 years work experience across various sectors and industries. Academically, she is a first-class graduate of Economics and also holds an MBA in Leadership and Business from the prestigious African Leadership University. In addition, Marilyn is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a distinction as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHRi) from US based Institutes. Most recently in August 2019, she became a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) in Nigeria.
Professionally, Marilyn is the People Director for West Africa at Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB-InBev), the No. 1 Brewer in the World. She has also been privileged to work for various multinational companies including KPMG Professional Services where she began her career as a Management Consultant. She subsequently went on to specialist HR roles in MTN Nigeria and was briefly seconded to lend her change management expertise on a transformation project in South Africa. Thereafter, she joined Unilever Nigeria Plc where she occupied Senior HR specialist and generalist HR roles across Ghana and Nigeria.
In her private life she is a wife and mother of three and also the Founder of DaisyGirl Foundation, a budding NGO that was set up primarily to empower local communities and groom/nurture young girls through values-based education. Marilyn is passionate about the development of the African continent and nurturing/harnessing the leadership potential and values-orientation of especially young people.
