Mrs. Abisola Khadijat Dokunmu-Adegbite is a distinguished administrator and seasoned Human Resource professional with over twenty-five (25) years of meritorious service in the Lagos State Public Service. She commenced her civil service career in 1999 as an Administrative Officer I and has steadily risen through the ranks to her current appointment as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Lagos State University, a Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos, a Master’s degree in International Human Resource Management from Rome Business School, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Corporate Communication.

Mrs. Dokunmu-Adegbite is a Fellow of several reputable professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), the Association for Human Resources Practitioners of Nigeria (AHR), the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria (ISMN), and the Chartered Governance Practitioners of Nigeria (CGPN). She is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership (USA) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).

In further demonstration of her leadership capacity and strategic acumen, she served as the President of Set 41 of the prestigious Policy, Strategy and Leadership Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru. She also served as a Committee Member for the Review of the Lagos State Public Service Rules, 2015, contributing her extensive administrative and human resource expertise to the reform process.

Beyond her Public Service responsibilities, Mrs. Dokunmu-Adegbite has served as a keynote speaker at various programmes and conferences organised by non-governmental organisations, including UNICEF, where she has shared insights on education reform in Lagos State, Public Service leadership, and human capital development.

Mrs. Dokunmu-Adegbite is happily married and blessed with children.
