She is the immediate past Director of NNPC Academy, where she was responsible for Capacity Development of NNPC Ltd employees, in addition to repositioning the Academy as a strategic national and regional learning hub. Under her leadership, the Academy extended its impact beyond NNPC Ltd to the Nigerian Oil & Gas MDAs. As Chairperson of the Forum of Directors of Oil & Gas Training Institutes of African Petroleum Producers Organization (APPO) member countries, she fostered collaborations between training institutes. Under her visionary leadership, the Academy championed the first of its kind, groundbreaking PIA Industry-wide digital learning, which was adjudged exceptionally successful, receiving accolades and awards. Other initiatives championed by her are the development of Augmented/Virtual Reality mode of learning, which took learning at NNPC Ltd beyond physical to immersive.
She led the NNPC Academy to attain ISO 9001:2015 QMS Certification and also signed strategic MoUs with both reputable local and globally renowned learning institutions. A trusted coach and change champion, Folashade played a pivotal role in the landmark transition of NNPC from a Corporation to a CAMA company – NNPC Ltd. under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). She led a team focused on building a future-ready workforce in an organizational transformation effort. Her contributions to organizational change initiatives earned her numerous awards and recognitions, reflecting her commitment to impact and excellence. Folashade is a Licensed HR Practitioner (HRPL), an Accredited Management Trainer by the Centre for Management Development (CMD), and a certified Lead Implementer of ISO 9001:2015.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Institute of Corporate Administration (ICA), and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD) Nigeria. Folashade has been a guest speaker, facilitator, and panelist at various fora, including the prestigious Lagos Business School, Nigerian-South African Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Philips Consulting Ltd., University of Abuja Business School, Leadership Bootcamps, CIPM International Conference & Exhibition, and various local & regional Oil & Gas Conferences.
